Why I'm not a morning person
“Can you knock on my door and wake me before you go to bed tonight?”
“Why,” asked my Greek landlady, “are you getting up at that hour?”
“What,” I responded, “are you doing still pottering around at 3am?”
An extreme lack of adrenalin
“Oh my god! Oh my god! OH MY GOD!”
The young woman's screams echoed across the hillside, attracting several bemused onlookers, while the guide edged her towards the platform’s limits.
“Don’t push me!”
At the end of the road turn left
“Oh my gosh. Impossible. Turn around, please.”
Ahead, four near-empty traffic lanes stretched across Brisbane’s Gateway Bridge.
I continued driving along, ignoring the persistent voice.
High altitude hostilities
It was meant to be a rest day.
Instead, it turned out to be a hot, exhausting six-hour return trek which ended with hostilities and a demand for horses.
